What's your business, and who are your customers?
Byte Bars are delicious AF (And Fun!) energy bars made with vegan, RAW, + non-GMO ingredients like organic dates, MCT Oil, and monk fruit. Each bar is pre-portioned into two Bytes for shareable, easy snacking. Byte Bars are crafted with purposeful, healthy ingredients to power your day. Byte Bars are made for people who value health and wellness, appreciate a delicious snack from time to time, and don't take themselves too seriously.
Tell us about yourself
Casey and I are the female co-founders (we're cousins) and superheroes behind the brand. We, the cousin duo launched our first products in 2019, a year after Casey joined me in Colorado to build a healthier lifestyle. We grew up as athletes and could never find a snack that tasted good and had the health benefits we were looking for. So, We made Byte Bars.
Every day Casey and I wake up and are motivated to bring a better tasting, better for you snack to the shelves so that consumers will have access to a healthier, more sustainable option.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Byte Bars biggest accomplishment thus far would be establishing a product that is scaleable, has proven market fit and is performing well at some of the most major retailers in the nation like Whole Foods Market. In 2022 Byte Bars have onboarded other major retailers like King Soopers, Erewhon in California, and Urban Outfitters online.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is understanding the value and purpose behind your brand, but also acknowledging the risk, you are taking each and every day. It is not an easy task building a business from scratch.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Learning to listen to people who have had success in your industry is vital. Granted, you will not have the same experience someone else did.. having guidance from industry veterans is unparalleled. Surround yourself with a network of humans who are interested in the same category as you. Know everything you possibly can about the market you are in and own where your brand holds value.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Byte Bars has big plans for 2022 and is excited to expand its product line. Having seen success in the market already, Byte is eager to expand its distribution and supply chain capabilities in the upcoming months. Byte Bars plans to implement even more sustainable business practices as their business grows. Stay tuned in by following Casey and Sabina on their journey on social media.
